Her years spent as former President of Women in the Visual Arts gave her a chance to work with hundreds of women in the membership as she interfaced with the community and among other non-profit organizations to promote women artists and the arts in South Florida. A pivotal point in Sharon’s career came when she was introduced to the Japanese craft of Temari. Upon learning about Temari, she began to create it as well as research its history. Subsequently she also connected with the Sennin Foundation, a center for Japanese Cultural arts in California and became an active member of the Japanese Temari Association in Japan. This enthusiasm has grown, until it currently still includes Temari, but also a broader range of various Japanese Art and Craft. Currently residing in Ft.
